The Victorian Government is working hard to ensure our transport network is inclusive and accessible for all Victorians.

Try Before You Ride events help people of all abilities feel more confident when using the public transport system. This includes people with accessibility requirements, parents with children and seniors.

Save the Date

Attendees can practice getting on and off our trains, trams, buses and taxis safely or speak with public transport staff and learn about accessibility features.

When: 9 May 2024

Time: 10.30am until 2.00pm

Travellers Aid will have support staff at the event. A quiet space will be available.

Safe Transport Victoria can answer any questions about the Multi-Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP).

This event is coordinated with:

  • Travellers Aid Australia

The Accessible Public Transport Action Plan 2020-2024 was released in 2020. It outlines the steps we’re taking to eliminate barriers to public transport journeys.
