PTV Recruitment Privacy Statement

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is committed to the responsible handling of Personal Information and Health Information collected as part of the recruitment process.

Information collected about you will only be used in relation to recruitment and selection processes. PTV may collect and store information about your application including character checks, security clearances and criminal history checks undertaken as part of that process. Employment and recruitment information collected by PTV may be retained for certain periods of time, in accordance with the Public Records Act 1973 (Vic), the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic), and other applicable legislation. Some of this information may be disclosed to third parties, where legally required.

Unsuccessful applications will be retained for a minimum period of six months after the conclusion of the selection process. Personal Information may also be retained after that time in the selection report created by the selection panel. Information will not be used for consideration for future employment without your consent.

As part of the recruitment process PTV may utilise the services of a third party. Applicants may be required to provide their written consent to check records maintained by VicRoads, Victoria Police and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship as a part of the selection process.

Public Transport Victoria will rely on information provided for selection process requirements.
