November 2015 performance results published

Public Transport Victoria today published performance results for November 2015, showing Metro has achieved performance targets for 44 consecutive months, with more than 90 per cent of services on-time.
- Metro has delivered 92.8 per cent of services on-time in November
- V/Line has delivered 89.2 per cent of services on-time
- Yarra Trams has delivered 82.6 per cent of services on-time.
Public Transport Victoria Director of Performance and Contract Management, Jeroen Weimar said customers were benefiting from an increasingly reliable service.
Yarra Trams’ performance has stayed the same as last month, while important track maintenance and repair works were carried out during November.
“Works to improve tram infrastructure help cater for future demand of our tram network. The improvements carried out in November will make our network safer, more attractive and accessible to all people,” Mr Weimar said.
Mr Weimar said Metro has delivered its 44th consecutive month of more than 90 per cent of services on-time.
“Metro keeps on delivering month after month for our customers, with performance over 90 per cent again,” Mr Weimar said.
Mr Weimar said V/Line’s overall on-time performance for November was up slightly on the previous month with individual lines seeing improvements.
“It’s really pleasing to see an improvement in on-time performance on both the Geelong and Ballarat lines in November,” Mr Weimar said.
“This month, the Geelong line has seen its highest on-time result since October 2013.”
“V/Line is continuing to improve punctuality and it is good to see sustained improvement in service delivery on all three Regional Rail Link lines.”
