Major disruptions on trams

Critical infrastructure projects will continue during current COVID restrictions. To ensure the safety of all workers and the community, all construction and maintenance work undertaken will operate under a COVIDSafe Plan.

COVID restrictions are in place across Victoria. You must wear a mask while travelling on public transport, please check-in whenever you see a QR Code and we encourage you to register your myki to assist with contact tracing. Learn more on our coronavirus page.

A normal timetable continues to run to ensure essential workers and those who must travel for a permitted reason can get where they need to go. To support the current restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne, all Night Network public transport services on Friday and Saturday will not run while the curfew is in place.

Be sure to plan ahead and allow more time for your journey during the major works this spring, especially if you're travelling over the school holiday period.

Plan your journey before you travel using our Journey planner, consider alternatives if you can and travel outside of peak times if possible.

There'll also be a range of other smaller disruptions for essential works across the network. See Disruptions for information on all current and upcoming disruptions across Victoria.

Visit the Yarra Trams website to find out more about upcoming projects on the tram network.
