This winter we’ll say “goodbye” to our 65th dangerous and congested level crossing as we step up work on 15 level crossing removal sites across the rail network.

We’re also upgrading the Sunbury Line, getting it ready for bigger and more modern trains to run. Meanwhile, work to revive regional rail lines presses ahead with maintenance, track and signal upgrades to the Bendigo, Echuca, Gippsland and Warrnambool lines.

On our roads and freeways, we're helping drivers get to where they need to be safer and sooner. We'll complete the Monash Freeway Upgrade this winter, and ramp up work to widen the West Gate Freeway and prepare for major construction on North East Link. Upgrades to key regional roads across the state also continue.

We’re making sure our busy trams run smoothly into the future by laying new tracks and upgrading power across sections of the network.
