Major disruptions on regional trains

Be sure to plan ahead and allow more time for travel during major works this autumn, especially if you’re travelling over the school holiday period.

To avoid delays:

• plan your journey before you travel using our Journey planner
• allow extra travel time
• consider alternatives if you can and travel outside of peak times where possible.

There are also smaller disruptions for essential works happening across the network.

Major disruptions

March

Seymour and Shepparton lines

• Coaches replace trains between Southern Cross Station, Seymour and Shepparton from first service Saturday 9 March to last service Sunday 24 March.

Shepparton Line

• Coaches replace regional trains between Seymour and Shepparton from first service Monday 25 March to last service Sunday 14 April.

April

Geelong and Warrnambool lines

• Coaches replace regional trains between Wyndham Vale, Geelong and Warrnambool, and coaches replace evening trains on the Geelong Line between Southern Cross and Geelong from first service Saturday 13 April to last service Sunday 21 April.

May

Geelong and Warrnambool lines

• Coaches replace regional trains between Wyndham Vale, Geelong and Warrnambool and coaches replace evening trains on the Geelong Line between Southern Cross and Geelong from first service Saturday 11 May to last service Sunday 19 May.

Gippsland line

• Coaches replace trains between Southern Cross and Bairnsdale from first service Saturday 4 May to last service Saturday 8 June.
