Changes to local bus routes and pedestrian access

To allow for level crossing removal works, there'll be bus stop closures and traffic diversions in Coburg and Brunswick around the level crossing sites.

Pedestrian access will also be closed on select dates.

Local bus changes

Routes 513, 527, 561 and 903

8pm Monday 27 July to Sunday 15 November

Bus routes 513 (Eltham - Glenroy via Greensborough or Lower Plenty), 527 (Gowrie - Northland via Murray Road), 561 (Macleod - Pascoe Vale via La Trobe University) and 903 (Altona - Mordialloc) will not service the Bell Street/Coburg Station bus stops (travelling in both directions).

Passengers are advised to walk 520 metres east (cross Bell Street at the Main Street intersection) to the bus stop past Sydney Road, or walk 300 metres west to the bus stop past Kendall Street.

Route 527

8pm Monday 27 July to Sunday 15 November

Bus route 527 (Gowrie - Northland via Murray Road) will not service bus stops on Main Street.

Passengers are advised to walk to the nearest bus stops located on O'Hea Street (between Sutherland and Rolland streets).

Pedestrian access

O'Hea Street will be closed at the level crossing from 6am Monday 21 September to 11pm Thursday 24 September.

A shuttle taxi will be available to transport people across the level crossing between 6am and midnight each day. Shuttle taxis leave from O'Hea Street near the corner of Main Street, and near the corner of Gilmour Street.
