Lost and found
If you have forgotten or misplaced personal belongings on a train, tram or bus service, you should immediately call 1800 800 007 for assistance.
It's helpful if you can tell the customer service representative the route you were travelling on, the time you were travelling and the direction.
The metropolitan train lost property office is located at Flinders Street Station.
From Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, call (03) 9610 7512 (closed public holidays)
Outside these times, call the PTV call centre on 1800 800 007.
If you have lost or found something while on board a tram please call the PTV call centre on 1800 800 007.
Lost property is held at the tram depots for three months.
Items found on board a bus are returned to the bus depot.

If you find lost items on board a service or at a station or stop, please hand them to staff or to an Authorised Officer.
