Timetable change for Routes 901, 902 and 903

From Sunday 26 November, there will be new timetables for routes 901, 902 and 903.

The timetables are changing to better reflect the current traffic conditions and will provide a more reliable and efficient service.

Southland Station opening

Southland Station will open on Sunday 26 November.

Trains on the Frankston line will start stopping at this new station from first service; there will be no timetable changes.

Yan Yean Route 385 realignment

From Sunday 26 November, Route 385 will be realigned due to work upgrades on Yan Yean Road between Diamond Creek Road and Plenty River Drive.

Route 385 will no longer be able to turn right from Yan Yean Road into Mackleroy Road, so will now run via Yan Yean Road, Diamond Creek Road and Plenty River Drive before continuing to follow its current route.

Better town buses for Gisborne

From Monday 20 November, Gisborne town buses (GisBus) will offer an extra 15 services per week on Route 473. The improvements also include better coverage in south eastern Gisborne and making all Bullengarook diversions part of the Route 474 on-demand service.

More reliable bus timetables for Melbourne’s south east

From 5 November, passengers in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs will have more reliable bus services with the introduction of adjusted timetables on 13 routes operated by Ventura. The changes will also make connections to trains more consistent.

  • Route 663 Belgrave to Lilydale via Kallista, The Patch, Monbulk and Mt Evelyn
  • Route 664 Chirnside Park Shopping Centre to Knox City Shopping Centre via Croydon and Bayswater
  • Route 671 Croydon to Chirnside Park Shopping Centre via Warrien Road and Patrick Avenue
  • Route 672 Croydon to Chirnside Park Shopping Centre via Croydon Hills and Wonga Park
  • Route 679 Ringwood to Chirnside Park Shopping Centre via Montrose, Mt Evelyn and Lilydale
  • Route 705 Mordialloc to Springvale via Braeside and Clayton South*

Better Route 823 services for Classic Residences

This change will make it easier for residents of Classic Residences Retirement Village to catch the bus by extending the route to Thomas Street, with Route 823 travelling from Dendy Street to Marriage Road.

Weekend services on Route 246 - Elsternwick to Clifton Hill, and Route 606 - Elsternwick to Fisherman’s Bend will be improved with increased span of hours and more frequent Sunday services on Route 246.

New bus service for Deer Park

Residents in northern Deer Park will benefit from the new Route 422 which will provide an hourly connection between Sunshine Station and Brimbank shopping centre. The service will run via Station Road, Tilburn Road and Forest Street, 7am and 8.30pm on weekdays, 8am to 7.30pm on Saturdays and 9am to 6.30pm on Sundays.

More ferry services for French Island and Phillip Island

Residents and visitors will benefit from more ferry services between Stony Point, French Island and Phillip Island. There will be 12 extra return services from Stony Point and one extended return service per week.

Minor route change for Route 10 Alfredton to Ballarat Station via Wendouree

Route 10 now continues to travel along Norman Street to Invermay Park and then head south down Doveton Street North towards Ballarat Station, instead of travelling down Forest Street between Howitt and Norman streets.

This route now provides residents with an east-west link, enabling them to a travel to local destinations such as Wendouree Indoor Netball Complex, Stockland Wendouree Shopping Centre, Ryan’s SUPA IGA Northway and the Ballarat General Cemetery.

Yan Yean Route 385 realignment

From Sunday 26 November, Route 385 will be realigned due to work upgrades on Yan Yean Road between Diamond Creek Road and Plenty River Drive.
