Routes 232 and 472: Temporary bus stop closures from Monday, 19 February 2018 until further notice

Bus Routes 232 and 472 will not service selected bus stops from first service Monday 19 February 2018 until further notice, due to works as part of the West Gate Tunnel Project.

Bus stops that will not be serviced by Route 232:

  • West Gate Freeway/Williamstown Road (both directions)

Route 232 passengers who previously used this stop are advised to use Route 472 buses for travel to/from West Footscray Station. Please use the following bus stops on Route 472:

  • Williamstown Road/Salisbury Street (towards Williamstown)
  • Melbourne Road/Donald W Mclean Reserve (both directions)
  • Williamstown Road/Benbow Street (towards Moonee Ponds)

Route 232 travelling to City (Queen Victoria Market): Catch Route 472 towards Moonee Ponds. Disembark at Geelong Road/Sunshine Road, and catch a train from West Footscray Station towards the city.

Route 232 travelling from City (towards Altona): Catch train to West Footscray Station. Board Route 472 to Williamstown at Geelong Road/Williamstown Road. 

Bus stops that will not be serviced by Route 472:

  • Williamstown Road/West Gate Freeway (towards Williamstown)
  • Melbourne Road/Westgate Freeway (towards Moonee Ponds) 

Passengers should use the following stops instead:

  • Williamstown Road/Salisbury Street (towards Williamstown)
  • Melbourne Road/Donald W Mclean Reserve (both directions)
  • Williamstown Road/Benbow Street (towards Moonee Ponds)
