Sandringham Line: Buses replacing trains from 8.40pm to last train on Thursday 25 October 2018

Buses will replace train services between Elsternwick and Sandringham stations from 8.40pm to last train on Thursday 25 October 2018, due to power supply upgrade works.

Please note that this may increase your journey by up to 40 minutes.

Passengers with special needs are advised to contact their local train station in advance or ask staff at the replacement bus stops to organise travel.

Travel restrictions for rail replacement services

For the safety and comfort of all passengers, there are restrictions on what you may take with you on buses and trams.

You cannot:

  • Take a conventional bike on a bus or tram (only folding bikes that meet the size criteria).
  • Take an animal on a bus or tram unless it is in a suitable container. Exceptions apply for assistance dogs.
  • Take a surfboard on a tram or a bus.

Horne Street, Elsternwick Station Car Park entrance

Exit Elsternwick Station via the car park on to Horne Street, turn left and proceed to the bus stop.

Metro Designated Bus Stop

Exit Elsternwick Station via the car park on to Horne Street, turn left and proceed to the bus stop.

Gardenvale

Metro Designated Bus Stop

Martin Street, under rail bridge

Exit Gardenvale Station on to Martin Street. Cross Martin Street at pedestrian crossing and turn left. Proceed to Metro bus stop, located under rail bridge.

Exit Gardenvale Station on to Martin Street, proceed to Metro bus stop located under rail bridge.

North Brighton

St. Andrews Street

Exit North Brighton Station on to Bay Street and turn right. Walk to the roundabout, turn left and cross Bay Street. Turn right, cross St. Andrews Street, turn left and proceed to the bus stop.

Exit North Brighton Station on to Bay Street and turn right. Walk to the roundabout, turn left, cross Bay Street and proceed to the bus stop.

Middle Brighton

Bus Stop

Male Street

Exit Middle Brighton Station on to Church Street and turn left. Walk to roundabout and cross Male Street. Turn right and cross Church Street. Continue to bus stop.

Exit Middle Brighton Station on to Church Street and turn left. Walk to the roundabout, cross Male Street and proceed to the bus stop.

Brighton Beach

South Road, Brighton Beach Oval

Exit Brighton Beach Station on to South Road and turn left. Walk approximately 125 metres to pedestrian crossing and cross South Road. Turn right and proceed to bus stop, located in front of Brighton Beach Oval.

Exit Brighton Beach Station on to South Road. Turn left. Walk approximately 100 metres to the bus stop.

Hampton

Metro Designated Bus Stop

Hampton Street and Small Street

Exit Hampton Station on to Hampton Street, turn left and walk 150m to the pedestrian crossing. Cross Hampton Street, turn left and proceed to the Metro designated bus stop, just across from Willis Street.

Bus Stop

Exit Hampton Station on to Hampton Street and turn left. Proceed to the bus stop opposite Service Street.

Sandringham

Bus Stop

Station Street, Sandringham Station entrance

Disembark bus at bus stop on Station Street, in front of Sandringham Station entrance.

Exit Sandringham Station onto Station Street, turn right and proceed to the bus stop in front of the station.
