Sunbury Line: Buses replacing trains on Sunday 23 September 2018

Buses will replace train services between North Melbourne and Sunshine stations on Sunday 23 September 2018, first train to last train, due to Metro Tunnel Project works.

Journey times may be extended by up to 30 minutes.

Travelling on rail-replacement services

Passengers with special needs are advised to contact their local train station in advance or ask staff at the replacement bus stops to organise travel.

For the safety and comfort of all passengers, there are restrictions on what you may take with you on buses and trams.

You cannot:

  • Take a conventional bike on a bus or tram (only folding bikes that meet the size criteria).
  • Take an animal on a bus or tram unless it is in a suitable container. Exceptions apply for assistance dogs.
  • Take a surfboard on a tram or a bus.

Bus Stop
Railway Place, North Melbourne Station Entrance

Exit North Melbourne Station through main entrance on to Adderley Street, turn right and proceed approximately 50 metres to the bus stop in Dryburgh Street.

Railway Place, North Melbourne Station Entrance

Exit North Melbourne Station through main entrance on to Adderley Street, turn left and proceed approximately 50 metres to the bus stop in Drysburgh Street.

Footscray

Bus Stop
Irving Street, Footscray Station

Exit Footscray Station and turn left onto Irving Street. Proceed along footpath for approximately 100 metres to the bus stop directly in front of taxi rank.

Exit Footscray Station and turn left onto Irving Street. Proceed along footpath to pedestrian crossing and cross Irving Street with care. Turn right and proceed approximately 30 metres to the bus stop.

Middle Footscray

Buckley Street

Exit Middle Footscray Station onto Victoria Street, turn right and proceed to Buckley Street intersection. Keep right at intersection and proceed to pedestrian crossing. Cross Buckley Street, turn right and proceed to bus stop.

Bus Stop

Exit Middle Footscray Station onto Victoria Street, turn right and proceed to Buckley Street intersection. Keep right at intersection and proceed approximately 80 metres to bus stop, located on Buckley Street, just past pedestrian crossing.

West Footscray

Bus Stop
Sunshine Road

Exit West Footscray Station on to Sunshine Road. Cross Sunshine Road with caution and turn left proceed to the bus stop.

Exit West Footscray Station on to Sunshine Road. Turn left and proceed to the bus stop.

Tottenham

Metro Designated Bus Stop
Sunshine Road

Exit Tottenham Station on to Sunshine Road. Proceed to pedestrian crossing straight ahead and cross Sunshine Road. Turn left and proceed approximately 75 metres to Metro designated bus stop.

Metro Designated Bus Stop
Sunshine Road

Exit Tottenham Station on to Sunshine Road, turn left and walk to car park. Proceed approximately 50 metres along Sunshine Road/car park walkway to Metro designated bus stop.

City Place, Car Park/ Sunshine Station Entrance

Exit Sunshine Station via the overpass and turn left into the car park area on City Place. Proceed to the bus stop located in the car park.

Exit Sunshine Station via the overpass and turn left into the car park area on City Place. Proceed to the bus stop located in the car park.
