Extra services to get you to the track and back

Record-breaking crowds are set to descend again on Melbourne for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2025.  

The Grand Prix has no public parking and with more than 4,800 extra tram services to get you to the track and back, public transport is the way to go.   

Extra tram services will run along Spencer Street, Swanson Street and St Kilda Road, free with your Grand Prix ticket.  

The shuttle tram service will operate between Southern Cross, Flinders Street and Melbourne Central stations and Albert Park as often as every 1 – 2 minutes during peak times and every 3 – 10 minutes outside of peak times from 5.30am to 10pm every day.   

Trams from Southern Cross Station will run to gates 1, 2 and 3, while those from Melbourne Central and Flinders Street stations will run to gates 5, 8, 9 and 10. 

Trams from Melbourne Central and Flinders Street stations will be less crowded than those from Southern Cross, please consider these as an option if you are able.  

Tram stops will be very busy please plan your journey in advance.
