New services and new timetables
We're making changes to our busiest metropolitan and regional lines and changing the way passengers move into and around Melbourne, with 450 new metropolitan and regional services each week from Sunday 31 January.
The new timetable will mean passengers have more space on trains and platforms and more options to plan their travel as we move to COVID Normal. The new timetable is also the first step in preparing for Melbourne's Metro Tunnel, the introduction of bigger, better trains, and turn up and go services.
The new train timetables are available online now.
Public transport fares outside of peak times will also be discounted from Sunday 31 January 2021, encouraging metropolitan passengers to choose to travel during the quieter periods of the day.
