Do the three when you catch PT

Make your journey easier and safer

Registering your myki, checking in each time you see a QR code and wearing a face mask helps to keep you and others safe when travelling on the public transport network. Remember to touch on with your myki and ‘do the three’ every time you travel.

Make your journey easier and safer - do the three when you catch PT!

Register your myki

Register your myki to help with contact tracing. You can register your myki online here, via the PTV app or by calling 1800 800 007, and registration is instant. You'll need your 15-digit myki number to register.

With a registered myki you can also protect your balance if your card is lost or stolen, set up Auto top up, view your travel history and manage up to 8 cards in one myki account.

Check in when you travel

You need to check in as well as touch on with your myki every time you travel.

QR codes are installed on trams, trains and buses as well as tram stops in the Free Tram Zone, Metro and V/Line stations and replacement bus stops (when operating).

Please check in every time you see QR codes at stations and stops and while you travel on trains, trams and buses (even if have already touched on with a registered myki).

Always wear a mask

When travelling on public transport you must wear a fitted face mask covering your nose and mouth and ensure you wear it for your entire journey.

A mask is also highly recommended at tram and bus stops and on outdoor train station platforms where you cannot maintain a safe distance (1.5m) from others.

To learn more about when and where to wear a face mask, visit the Coronavirus Victoria website.
