Extra trams for events in June

We’ve organised extra trams for the below events during June. While timetabled trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues. Please allow extra time for your journey.

MCG / Rod Laver Arena / Melbourne Arena

  • Saturday 1 June at 1.45pm – AFL, Collingwood v Fremantle
  • Sunday 2 June at 3.20pm – AFL, Essendon v Carlton
  • Friday 7 June at 7.50pm – AFL, Richmond v Geelong
  • Monday 10 June at 3.20pm – AFL, Collingwood v Melbourne
  • Saturday 22 June at 1.45pm – AFL, Melbourne v Fremantle
  • Saturday 29 June at 1.45pm – AFL, Hawthorn v West Coast Eagles

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG. Passengers using Southern Cross Station can connect with Route 48 trams on Collins Street.

AAMI Park

  • Friday 14 June at 7.45pm - Super Rugby, Melbourne Rebels v Chiefs
  • Saturday 15 June at 3pm – NRL, Melbourne Storm v Newcastle Knights

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena.  

Extra trams running along Flinders Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Marvel Stadium

  • Saturday 8 June at 1.45pm – AFL, Carlton v Brisbane Lions
  • Friday 14 June at 7.50pm – AFL, Essendon v Hawthorn
  • Saturday 15 June at 7.25pm – AFL, Carlton v Western Bulldogs
  • Saturday 22 June at 4.35pm – AFL, St Kilda v Brisbane Lions
  • Sunday 23 June at 3.20pm – AFL, Western Bulldogs v Collingwood
  • Thursday 27 June at 7.20pm – AFL, Essendon v GWS Giants
  • Saturday 29 June at 7.25pm – AFL, Collingwood v North Melbourne
  • Sunday 30 June at 1.10pm – AFL, St Kilda v Richmond

Extra tram services run as Route 86a between East Melbourne and Stop D1 Etihad Stadium Docklands.

Extra trams running to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Queen Victoria Market

  • Wednesday 5, 12, 19 and 26 June at 5pm – Winter Night Market

Extra tram services run as Route 19a or Route 57a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7 Queen Victoria Market.

Melbourne Showgrounds

  • Tuesday 11 June to Friday 14 June, at 8.30am – RMIT/VU Mid Year Exams
  • Monday 17 June to Friday 21 June, at 8.30am – RMIT/VU Mid Year Exams.
  • Monday 24 June to Friday 28 June, at 8.30am – RMIT Mid Year Exams.

Extra tram services run as Route 57a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 32 Sandown Road.

Docklands

  • Friday 28 June to Sunday 30 June – Firelight Festival

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Stop 4 Flinders Street Station/Elizabeth St and Stop D11 Waterfront City Docklands or as Route 86a between Stop 7 Russell St/Bourke St and Stop D11 Waterfront City Docklands.

Extra trams running to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.
