Extra trams for events in August

We’ve organised extra trams for the below events during August. While timetabled trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues. Please allow extra time for your journey.

MCG

  • Saturday 3 August at 7.25pm – AFL, Melbourne v Richmond
  • Sunday 4 August at 1.10pm – AFL, Collingwood v Gold Coast Suns
  • Saturday 10 August at 1.45pm – AFL, Melbourne v Collingwood
  • Sunday 11 August at 3.20pm – AFL, Richmond v Carlton
  • Friday 16 August at 7.50pm – AFL, Melbourne v Sydney Swans
  • Saturday 17 August at 1.45pm – AFL, Carlton v St Kilda
  • Sunday 18 August at 1.10pm – AFL, Richmond v West Coast Eagles
  • Friday 23 August at 7.50pm – AFL, Richmond v Brisbane Lions

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG. Passengers using Southern Cross Station can connect with Route 48 trams on Collins Street.

Rod Laver Arena / Margaret Court Arena

  • Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August at 7.30pm – Concert, Hilltop Hoods
  • Friday 9 August at 8.00pm – Concert, ATEEZ
  • Friday 16 August and Tuesday 27 August at 8.00pm – Show, Hugh Jackman
  • Saturday 17 August and Sunday 18 August at 2.00pm & 8.00pm - Show, Hugh Jackman
  • Sunday 25 August at 7.30pm – Concert, GOT7
  • Saturday 31 August at 12.00pm - Gaming, Melbourne E-Sports

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG. 

Extra trams to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.

AAMI Park / Melbourne Arena

  • Saturday 3 August at 3.00pm – Netball, Vixens v Fever
  • Wednesday 7 August at 7.30pm – Soccer, Melbourne Victory v Newcastle Jets
  • Saturday 17 August at 5.30pm – Rugby League, Melbourne Storm v Raiders
  • Sunday 18 August at 3.00pm – Netball, Vixens v Lightening
  • Sunday 25 August at 1.00pm – Netball, Magpies v Vixens
  • Sunday 25 August at 2.00pm – Rugby League, Storm v Titans
  • Saturday 31 August at 1.00pm – Netball, Semi Final TBA

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena.  

Extra trams running along Flinders Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Extra tram services run as Route 86a between East Melbourne and Stop D1 Etihad Stadium Docklands.

Extra trams running to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Queen Victoria Market

  • Wednesday 7, 14, 21 and 28 August at 5.00pm – Winter Night Markets

Extra tram services run as Route 19a or Route 57a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7 Queen Victoria Market.

Extra trams running to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.
