Extra trams for events in September

We’ve organised extra trams for the below events during September. While timetabled trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Rod Laver Arena / Margaret Court Arena

  • Sunday 1 September at 12pm – Gaming, Melbourne Esports Open
  • Monday 2, Wednesday 4, Saturday 7 & Monday 9 September at 7.30pm – Concert, Fleetwood Mac

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena.

Extra trams to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.

MCG

  • Friday 6 September at 7.50pm - Qualifying Final, Geelong v Collingwood
  • Friday 13 September at 7.50pm - Semi Final, Geelong v West Coast Eagles

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG.

AAMI Park

  • Friday 6 September at 7.55pm – NRL, Melbourne Storm v North QLD Cowboys
  • Sunday 15 September at 12.30pm – Soccer, NPL Mens/Womens Finals
  • Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena.

    Extra trams to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Catani Gardens

  • Friday 27 September at 12pm – Listen Out Music Festival

Extra tram services run as Route 96a between Southern Cross Station and Stop 138 Luna Park.

Extra trams to the above events will be low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Showgrounds

  • Saturday 21 to Monday 30 September at 9.30am – Royal Melbourne Show
  • Extra tram services run as Route 57a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 32 Sandown Road.
