Public transport for Round 19 of the AFL

Public transport is the best way to get to the game during Round 19 of the 2024 AFL season!

We're running extra services to and from the MCG and Marvel Stadium.

Round 19 matches

Essendon v Adelaide, Marvel Stadium, Friday 19 July at 7:40pm

St Kilda v West Coast Eagles, Marvel Stadium, Saturday 20 July at 1:45pm

Hawthorn v Collingwood, MCG, Saturday 20 July at 4:45pm

Carlton v North Melbourne, Marvel Stadium, Sunday 21 July at 4:40pm

Transport disruptions

Getting to and from the MCG

Mernda and Hurstbridge lines
  • Buses replace trains between Parliament Station and Reservoir/Macleod stations from Friday 19 July to Sunday 21 July. Read more about replacement buses on the Mernda Line and Hurstbridge Line.
  • Replacement buses run express to and from Jolimont Station before and after the match on Saturday 20 July.
  • The Jolimont Station replacement bus stop will move temporarily to near the normal replacement bus stop on Wellington Parade on Saturday 20 July.
  • Car parking, including accessible and accredited parking, is not available at the MCG.

Getting to and from Marvel Stadium

Tram routes 30 and 35 (City Circle)
  • Trams won't run between Central Pier/Harbour Esplanade (Stop D2) and Melbourne Central Station/Elizabeth St (Stop 5).
Tram Route 86
  • Trams won't run between Central Pier/Harbour Esplanade (Stop D2) and and La Trobe St/Spencer Street (Stop 119).

There are road closures on La Trobe Street between Harbour Esplanade and Queen Street. Harbour Esplanade, King, William, Queen, Elizabeth, Swanston, Russell, Exhibition and Victoria streets are still open to north-south traffic.
