Horse Racing returns to Melbourne at the Flemington Racecourse!

Public transport is your best way to enjoy the action and we're running extra services to help you get to and from the Flemington Racecourse on Saturday 17 May.

• Gates Open: 11am
• First Race: 11:35am
• Main Race: 3:30pm
• Last Race: 4:45pm

 Metropolitan train

Getting to Flemington Racecourse

Trains run from Southern Cross (Platform 8) stopping only at North Melbourne (Platform 2), enroute to Flemington Racecourse (Platform 1).

• From 10.45am, trains leave every 20 minutes.

During this time, trains return to Southern Cross express with passengers.

The last train from Southern Cross is at 1:05pm.

Leaving from Flemington Racecourse

Trains run from Flemington Racecourse (Platform 1), stopping only at North Melbourne (Platform 1) enroute to Southern Cross (Platform 8).

Trains leave Flemington Racecourse approximately as follows:

• 20 minutes after Main Race: 3:50pm
• 20 minutes after Race 9: 4:30pm
• 20 minutes after last race: 5:05pm
• Then leave at 5:25pm, 5:45pm and 6:05pm

During this time, trains run to Flemington Racecourse express with passengers.

The last train from Flemington Racecourse is at 6:05pm.

Getting to and from Flemington Racecourse

Catch a Route 57 tram between Stop 01 Flinders Street/Elizabeth Street and passengers can alight at Stop 32 Sandown Road/ Epsom Road

Getting to and from Flemington Racecourse

Catch a Route 472 bus to Langs Road/Showgrounds.

 Regional train

Getting to Flemington Racecourse

Change at North Melbourne and Southern Cross stations for a Flemington Racecourse train.

Leaving the Flemington Racecourse

Catch any train from Flemington Racecourse to Southern Cross or North Melbourne stations and change to a regional train.
