Public transport for FOMO Festival: Sunday 13 January 2019

PTV is helping all the music lovers to get to and from FOMO Music Festival at Flemington Racecourse on Sunday 13 January 2019.

The festival starts at 11.30am.

Please check the Disruptions page for notification of any service changes that may affect your journey to and from the event.

Getting to the Racecourse

Services will depart from Southern Cross Station (Platform 8), stopping at North Melbourne Station (Platform 2) and then express to Flemington Racecourse:

  • From 11.28am to 4pm, approximately every 10 minutes

Services will run express from Southern Cross Station to Flemington Racecourse:

  • At 8.03pm
  • From 8.13pm to 9.33pm, approximately every 10 minutes
  • From 9.51pm to 11.15pm, approximately every 6 minutes

Leaving the Racecourse

Services will depart the Racecourse running express to Southern Cross Station

  • From 11.46am to 4.21pm, approximately every 10 minutes

Services will depart the Racecourse, stopping at North Melbourne Station (Platform 1), and Southern Cross Station

  • From 8.04pm to 10.01pm, approximately every 20 minutes
  • From 10.07pm to 11.25pm, approximately every 6 minutes 

Passengers are advised that between 4pm to 8pm there are no trains and should catch a tram Route 57 to Flinders Street outside the Showgrounds. Passengers will have the option to change at Newmarket to catch a train into the City.

Trams will run to a normal Sunday frequency.

Getting to and from the Racecourse

Passengers can catch a Route 57 tram, alighting at Stop 29 Racecourse Road/Flemington Racecourse.

Getting to and from the Showgrounds

No additional services will operate. All services will run to a normal Sunday timetable.

The following bus route travels close to the Showgrounds:

  • Route 472 (Williamstown - Moonee Ponds via Footscray)

Regional Trains will operate to a Saturday timetable.

Getting to the Racecourse

Passengers arriving at North Melbourne and Southern Cross stations are advised to change trains and catch a Showgrounds service.

  • Arriving at Southern Cross Station, change to Platform 8 and catch a Showgrounds service
  • Arriving at North Melbourne Station, change to Platform 2 and catch a Showgrounds service

Leaving the Racecourse

Passengers are advised to catch any train from the Racecourse and alight at Southern Cross or North Melbourne stations and change to a regional train.
