Public transport for the Melbourne Renegades vs Adelaide Strikers Big Bash match: Monday 22 January 2018

Big Bash cricket continues as the Melbourne Renegades play the Adelaide Strikers at Etihad Stadium on Monday, 22 January 2018.

The match starts at 7.40pm.

Before the match, there are extra services to Southern Cross from:

  • Dandenong, departing 6.05pm
  • Sunbury, departing 6.14pm
  • Mordialloc, departing 6.20pm

After the match, the following extra services will depart Southern Cross:

  • Glen Waverley, departing 10.57pm, platform 10
  • Sunbury, departing 10.57pm, platform 11
  • Sandringham, departing 10.58pm, platform 13
  • Caulfield, departing 10.59pm, platform 12
  • South Morang, deparing 11pm and 11.08pm, platform 9
  • Upper Ferntree Gully, departing 11pm, platform 10
  • Frankston, departing 11pm, platform 13

Getting to and from Etihad Stadium

Extra trams will operate as Route 30a between East Melbourne and Stop D1 Etihad Stadium via La Trobe Street, and as Route 86a between East Melbourne and Stop D1 Etihad Stadium via Bourke Street.

Customers travelling by regional train can alight at Southern Cross Station.

Geelong line

After the game:

  • The 10.45pm train service from Southern Cross to Waurn Ponds is altered to depart at 10.55pm at 10.55pm. The new schedule is: departs Southern Cross at 10.55pm, Footscray 11.02pm (pick up only), Sunshine 11.07pm (pick up only), Deer Park 11.12pm, Tarneit 11.20pm, Wyndham Vale 11.27pm, Little River 11.34pm, Lara 11.40pm, Corio 11.44pm, North Shore 11.47pm, North Geelong 11.50pm, Geelong 11.56pm, South Geelong midnight, Marshall 12.05am and arrive at Waurn Ponds at 12.12am. Additional seating will be available.
  • Additional seating will be available on the 11.30pm train service from Southern Cross to Waurn Ponds.

Ballarat/Wendouree line

After the game:

  • The 10.55pm train service from Southern Cross to Wendouree is altered to depart at 11.03pm. The new schedule is: departs Southern Cross at 11.05pm, Footscray 11.10pm (pick up only), Sunshine 11.15pm (pick up only), Ardeer 11.19pm, Deer Park 11.21pm, Caroline Springs 11.25pm, Rockbank 11,30pm, Melton 11.35pm, Bacchus Marsh 11.45pm, Ballan 12.02pm, Ballarat 12.19am and arrive at Wendouree at 12.30am. Additional seating will be available.

Bendigo line

After the game:

  • The 10.52pm train service from Southern Cross to Bendigo is altered to depart at 10.58pm. The new schedule is: departs Southern Cross at 10.58pm, Footscray 11.05pm (pick up only), Sunbury 11.29pm, Clarkefield 11.36pm, Riddells Creek 11.41pm, Gisborne 11.47pm, Macedon 11.51pm, Woodend 11.57pm, Kyneton 12.04am, Malmsbury 12.08am, Castlemaine 12.23am, Kangaroo Flat 12.39am and arrive at Bendigo at 12.48am. Additional seating will be available.

Seymour/Shepparton line

After the game:

  • A special cricket coach service will depart Southern Cross at 11.10pm, setting down passenges as required at stations between Donnybrook and Seymour.

Traralgon/Bairnsdale line

Before and after the game:

  • Due to track works, passengers are advised to catch the 11pm road coach from Southern Cross to Pakenham, connecting with a train service from Pakenham to Traralgon.
