Impacts to V/Line services on Mondays and Fridays due to industrial action

03 Feb 2020

Changes to V/Line services on Mondays and Fridays are likely from Friday 31 January 2020 until further notice due to ongoing industrial action.

Passengers are advised to see our website, download our app or check station displays for up-to-date information before travelling.

Passengers can also speak to station staff or contact our call centre on 1800 800 007

Service changes

V/Line will endeavour to run as many services as possible; however, passengers may be asked to either catch coach replacement services or travel on the next available service, depending on which will be the faster way to complete their journey.

Some delays may be experienced on trains which are running, as more passengers than normal may use these services if their usual train does not run.

Any service changes will be communicated via our website and app, as well as the V/Line website, V/Line app, social media channels and station announcements.

Ticketing and staff changes

Station booking and customer services desks will be scheduled to open as normal, but there may be some occasions when they are unattended.

If a station is unattended, passengers can seek help with their travel by contacing our call centre on 1800 800 007.

Myki facilities will still be available if the station is unattended and conductors on trains can sell paper tickets for long distance passengers.

Passengers can also request assistance from conductors by waiting in the Boarding Assistance Zone, which is painted on the platforms at all V/Line stations.
