Planning ahead this Labour Day long weekend
17 Feb 2020
There's a lot happening over the Labour Day long weekend from Friday 6 March to Monday 9 March.
Buses replace trains on five metropolitan train lines over the weekend as crews deliver the Toorak Road level crossing removal, Sunbury Line Upgrade and general rail maintenance.
For regional passengers, coaches will replace trains on the Shepparton and Seymour lines for the next few weeks, as well as at various times on the weekend on the Bendigo, Geelong and Ballarat lines.
There'll also be additional trains and trams running to help passengers attend major events across the city, including Moomba, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at the MCG, the Ultra music festival at Flemington Racecourse and the Melbourne Fashion Festival.
We want to help you keep moving and enjoy the long weekend. See below for details on extra services to special events and disruptions that may affect your travel.
