Disruptions to Transdev bus services on Sunday 3 October 2021
03 Oct 2021
Several metropolitan bus services will be disrupted today, with a large number of Transdev drivers required to isolate to contain the spread of coronavirus.
There have been two positive tests among operational staff based at the North Fitzroy and Doncaster depots.
Today’s disruptions are expected to be limited to the following routes:
- Route 234 – Garden City to Queen Victoria Market
- Route 235 – Fisherman’s Bend to Queen Victoria Market
- Route 246 – Elsternwick to Clifton Hill
- Route 906 – CBD to Warrandyte
- Route 907 – CBD to Mitcham
We ask passengers to check the PTV mobile app or website to help plan their journey and for details about service cancellations.
Transdev will endeavour to provide as regular a service as possible across the affected routes.
Transdev and the Department of Transport are working closely with the Department of Health as contact tracing continues. We are working to support staff, and exercising an abundance of caution in the interest of bus drivers, other employees and passengers.
Public transport continues to operate under a strict COVID-safe plan with deep cleaning every night and more than 500 hand sanitisers installed across the network.
Passengers are reminded that if they are leaving home for one of the six permitted reasons, masks must be worn outside of the home, including on public transport.
We encourage everyone to monitor the Department of Health’s list of exposure sites at coronavirus.vic.gov.au.
Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app. The latest public transport information and network status is available at ptv.vic.gov.au or in the PTV mobile app.
