National Day of Mourning – Thursday 22 September

On Thursday 22 September 2022, Victorians will observe a public holiday on the National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty The Queen. Public transport will run to altered timetables.
Read below for timetable changes that may affect your journey.
Metropolitan train
Metropolitan train services will run to a Saturday timetable with fewer services in the morning and afternoon peaks.
Night network services will not run.

Metropolitan tram
Tram services will run to a Saturday timetable with fewer services in the morning and afternoon peaks. Times may differ slightly from the normal Saturday timetable, with last trams running approximately one hour earlier.

Regional train and coach
V/Line trains will run to a Saturday timetable, and scheduled V/Line coach services will run to an altered Saturday timetable.

Passengers who have already made a reservation to travel on Thursday 22 September on a long-distance train or coach will be contacted directly by V/Line to advise of any changes to their service.
Metropolitan and regional bus
Metropolitan and regional bus services will run to a public holiday timetable.
Bus routes 503 and 506 will not run.
Night network services will not run.
