Heading to the footy on the train this weekend?

Added: 10 April 2015

PTV are reminding customers travelling to the MCG through Richmond and Jolimont Stations to have their myki cards ready for action, before and after the main event.

Last year’s Richmond Station improvements increased the number of myki gates at the station’s city entrance, and widened the entrance to improve crowd flow to and from the station.

Both gates at the city end of Richmond Station will be in operation following games throughout the 2015 AFL season.

This means customers should have their myki topped up and ready when approaching the gates at stations, as they will need to touch on to pass through.

This helps ensure that crowd flow is consistent and safe throughout the station entrances and platforms and that all customers are paying their way.

Being prepared will make it quicker and easier for customers to catch their train home after the game.

Metro staff will be in attendance to ensure a safe and secure passage through the gates in the event of overcrowding.

For more information on services for games, see the Events page.
