If you travel often, top up with consecutive days.
Choose the zones you want to travel in and the number of consecutive travel days you need.
You can buy a myki Pass for 7 days or anywhere between 28 to 365 days. When you buy a myki Pass for between 325 and 365 days, you only pay for 325 days, and receive up to 40 days free. Select 365 days on the myki machine or ask for 365 days when buying at a retail outlet.
Once you have a myki Pass, you can travel as many times as you want in your chosen zones for the duration of your pass. You can only use your myki Pass for consecutive days of travel.
Using myki Pass
Your myki Pass is activated when you first touch on and touch off in one of your chosen zones. It will expire at 3am on the date shown on a myki machine.
You can use your myki Pass for 12 months from the date of top up. It will expire within 12 months if you don't activate it. You can request a refund for the value of an unused Pass.
Your myki card can store two myki Passes at a time. When your current myki Pass is almost expired, you can buy your next Pass so it's ready to activate when you need it. Only one myki Pass can be active at a time.
myki Pass and myki Money
You can have myki Money and myki Pass on your card at the same time, but you can't choose to use myki Money if you have a valid myki Pass. myki Pass will take precedence. Your myki Pass won't work if your myki Money has a negative balance.
Travel in other zones
If you want to travel in a zone that isn't on your Pass, you'll need to use myki Money for this part of the journey.
For example, you have a Zone 2 myki Pass but travel in Zone 1. Your myki Pass will cover the Zone 2 portion of your trip, and myki Money pays for the Zone 1 portion of your trip.
