Planning your accessible journey

Information for customers who need a higher level of assistance

If you need help to board a V/Line service, please approach a V/Line staff member or wait in the Boarding Assistance Zone.

Boarding Assistance Zones are located on platforms 3A and 15A at Southern Cross Station, and on other V/Line platforms across the network.

All V/Line stations are accessible for customers with mobility aids, and most of our trains can be accessed via conductor-operated portable ramps. Most V/Line coaches have a lift and an allocated space for customers with mobility aids.

Find out if the service you’d like to travel on is accessible by using the plan a journey tool.

If the accessible symbol isn't featured next to your service or you require additional assistance, please call 1800 800 007 (6:00am–midnight) to discuss your needs before you travel.

Conductors, station staff and coach drivers will always be happy to assist you throughout your journey.

Travellers Aid has services at Southern Cross, Flinders Street and Seymour stations. For more information, visit Travellers Aid.
