Fares
How much you pay to travel on trains, trams and buses depends on where and how you're travelling. We define the metropolitan area as Melbourne and its suburbs, and the rest of Victoria as regional.

The fare you pay is determined by:
- where you travel, including the zones you travel through if you’re using myki
- your ticket type, for example a 2 hour or daily ticket
- whether you’re eligible for a concession fare or free travel
- any other discounts, such as the 30 per cent off-peak discount.
