Avoid the queues and save time
Avoid delays by topping up your myki before you reach the barriers and have it ready as you exit the train.
After the game, there will be increased congestion and delays getting onto the platforms at Richmond and Jolimont stations.
Richmond Station access
Cranbourne/Pakenham, Frankston and Sandringham line passengers are advised to use Olympic Boulevard via Gate 7 footbridge
Lilydale, Belgrave, Alamein and Glen Waverley line passengers are advised to use Brunton Avenue via Yarra Park
Passengers for Flinders Street services can use either route.
Travelling from Southern Cross Station to the MCG
The quickest way is via Jolimont Station—change to Platform 9 to travel through the City Loop.
Alternatively, to get to the game from Richmond Station, change to Platform 13 to travel via Flinders Street Station.
Returning to Southern Cross Station from the MCG
Catch a train from Platform 1 at Jolimont Station towards Southern Cross Station via Flinders Street.
