Extra trams for special events

We’re running extra trams for the below events during August and September. While trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues. Please allow extra time for your journey.

MCG
Extra trams are running for the below events:
- Thursday 7 September at 7.20pm - AFL Qualifying Final, Collingwood v Melbourne
- Friday 8 September at 7.50pm - AFL Elimination Final, Carlton v Sydney Swans
- Saturday 9 September at 3.20pm - AFL Elimination Final, St Kilda v GWS Giants
- Saturday 30 September at 2.30pm - AFL Grand Final
Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG Gates 4-7/John Cain Arena or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG.
Passengers at Southern Cross Station can reach Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG by using Route 48 trams on Collins Street.
Extra trams running along Flinders Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.
AAMI Park/John Cain Arena
Extra trams are running for the below events:
- Saturday 9 September at 1pm & 6.30pm - Concert, Victorian State Schools Spectacular.
- Saturday 16 September at 9pm - Concert, Marlo.
- Thursday 28 September at 730p.m - NBL Basketball, Melbourne United v SE Melb Phoenix.
Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Stop D6 Flinders Street West and Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena/MCG Gates 1-3 or Stop 7D Olympic Boulevard.
Extra trams running to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.
Rod Laver Arena/Margaret Court Arena
Extra trams are running for the below events:
- Wednesday 30 August at 7pm, Concert, Evanescence.
- Thursday 7 September at 8pm - Concert, Jonathan Lee.
- Saturday 9 September at 7.30pm - Concert, Culture Club.
- Saturday 9 September at 6.55pm - Concert, Polaris.
- Friday 15 September at 7pm - Concert, RuPaul's Drag Race.
- Saturday 16 September at 8.30pm - Comedy, Ronny Chieng.
- Sunday 17 September at 6.30pm - Concert, Gurdas Mann.
- Saturday 23 September & Sunday 24 September at 2pm - NHL Hockey.
- Wednesday 27 September & Thursday 28 September at 8pm - Concert, Rex Orange County.
Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena/MCG Gates 1-3 or Stop 7D Olympic Boulevard.
Extra trams running to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.
Flemington Racecourse/Showgrounds
Extra trams are running for the below event:
- Thursday 21 September to Sunday 1 October from 9.30am daily - Royal Melbourne Show.
Extra tram services run as Route 57a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 32 Sandown Road.
Extra trams running to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.
