Public transport for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™: Germany v Morocco

We’re helping you get to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ with extra trams and trains running to get you to the game and back.
The Germany v Morocco game will be held at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium (officially known as AAMI Park) on 24 July 2023. The event kicks off at 6.30pm and ends at approximately 8.20pm.

See below for information about additional train and tram services being offered to get you to and from the game. There are also some disruptions to services which may affect your journey.
Metropolitan train
Regular services
Regular services are running to and from Richmond and Jolimont stations.
Additional services
After the game there will be an additional metropolitan services running from Jolimont, Richmond and Flinders Street Stations.
Return services from Jolimont Station
- Mernda, departing 9:20pm and 9:30pm from Platform 2
- Greensborough, departing 9:25pm from Platform 2
- Eltham, departing 9:25pm from Platform 2
Return services from Richmond Station
- Belgrave, departing 8:55pm from Platform 9
- Glen Waverley, departing 8:52pm and 9:02pm from Platform 10
- Lilydale, departing 8:38pm from Platform 9
- Pakenham, departing 8:49pm from Platform 6
- Sandringham, departing 8:54pm and 9:11pm from Platform 2
Return services from Flinders Street Station
- Werribee, departing 9:00pm and 9:20pm from Platform 9
- Sunbury, departing 9:07pm and 9:19pm from Platform 5
- Craigieburn, departing 9:03pm and 9:23pm from Platform 5
Disruptions to services
Frankston Line
- Buses replace trains between Caufield and Moorabbin.
Hurstbridge and Mernda lines
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Clifton Hill from 9.40pm.
Sunbury Line
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Sunshine from 9.30pm to last service.
Upfield Line
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Upfield 8.40pm to last service.
Glen Waverley, Alamein, Belgrave, Lilydale, Hurstbridge, Mernda, Upfield, Craigieburn, Sunbury lines
- No city loop trains from 10pm.

Metropolitan tram
Regular services
Regular services will be running via Route 70 and Route 48 via Wellington Parade.
Additional services
There will be additional tram services to get you to the game via:
- Route 70a between Stop 6 Flinders Street West (Stop D6) and Stop 7D Olympic Boulevard.
There will be additional tram services after the game via:
- Route 70a between Stop 7D Olympic Boulevard and Stop 4 Flinders Street Station/Elizabeth Street.

Metropolitan bus
Customers can catch the Route 246 bus close to the MCG.
Please note, services may terminate prior to the end of the match.
Regional train
Regular services
Regular services will be running to and from Southern Cross Station.
Disruptions to services
Bairnsdale Line
- Coaches replace trains between Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
Ballarat Line
- Coaches replace trains between Southern Cross and Bendigo.
