Brunswick depot precinct upgrade
We’re adding more trams to the network to keep Melbourne moving.
To get more trams on the network, we need to upgrade the Brunswick Tram Depot.
The upgraded Brunswick Depot will include:
- more space to house larger trams
- improved staff facilities for the increase in staff and drivers
- newer and safer tram tracks at the Depot
- new tram track entrances and exits from the Depot
- new staff car park with entrance and exit points on Colebrook Street
These upgrades will keep the Brunswick Tram Depot running efficiently, safely and reliably.
Construction works are expected to begin on the new staff car park in mid-late 2023.
We’ll be working with Moreland City Council and the community to ensure disruptions are minimal to the surrounding businesses and residents.
