To find items lost on public transport, contact us and let us know what route you were travelling on and when. You can hand in any found items to public transport staff or an Authorised Officer.
Lost and found
If you've left personal belongings on a train, tram or bus, call us on 1800 800 007.
To help find your missing item, give us as much information as possible - the route you were travelling on, the direction you were heading, and the time the item went missing.
You can visit the lost property office at Flinders Street Station, opposite Degraves Street, or call Metro Trains on 03 9610 7512 from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).
After hours, call 1800 800 007.
If you've lost something on a tram, call 1800 800 007.
Yarra Trams keep lost property at their depots for three months.
Items left on buses are kept at bus depots.

Call V/Line on 03 9619 2588 from 6am to 10pm. After hours, you can call 1800 800 007.
